Putting Together A Christmas Tree

by - December 20, 2015

Decorating is the best part of the season. It’s going to get everybody in the festive mood. Christmas tree at home should reflect your personal style. Let me help make it easy for you.

Pick A Christmas Tree

There are different types and shapes of Christmas trees. Pick one that best suit your theme and your space.

Prep Your Tree

Spend some time fluffing branches for a natural looking tree. Once you have the desired shape and look, start decorating right away.

Hang Large Ornaments First

Weave garlands around the tree branches first. Then, start tucking larger ornaments like poinsettias, ribbons and decors into the branches. Make sure to spread them out evenly.

Light It Up

If your tree does not come pre-lit, weave through multi-coloured flashing Christmas lights.

Fill It Up

Fill in open spaces with smaller ornaments. Make sure not to overpack the tree or else it might fall to the ground in the middle of the night.

Crown The Top

Crown your tree with a decorative topper. Traditional toppers include a star and an Angel. It adds height to your tree.

Adorn the Feet

Don’t neglect the base of the tree. Adorn it with a tree skirt or something similar. It finishes off the entire look. If you opt for a decorative rug, place it underneath first before you start building your tree and decors.

Show Them Those Gifts

There you have it. Christmas tree done! What's your Christmas colour theme this year? Expecting a white Christmas, perhaps? Let me know in the comments below. Thank you.
